Hey folks!!!!
Today's special blog is abut my very-very-very first visit to the dentist.
So hearing about plucking a tooth was JURASSIC Park to me when I was young (a little even now🙄).
My first encounter with a dentist was in my first grade, that is 9 years ago (wow, so ancient!). It was the front most tooth #soldiertooth (lol, I just came up with that...) that was dangling. It was literally like ting-tiding-ting hanging.
As I am writing, my brother walks into the room. No-not a problem at all. He just washed his mask with DETTOL. Now, what wrong? I can't handle the smell of Dettol🤢. Just in case my writing is weird, BLAME MY BRUTHA. (like you know, I luv blaming him)
Any way coming back on track, I am not too sure how this one goes. but here's my perspective...
My mom would come to me and then tie a thread onto the dangling front tooth and attempt to pull it out. Now even before my mom ties a thread, I start screaming like a banshee.
She would keep telling me, "Just one slight jerk and the tooth will come off."
My POV- that 'jerk' will just kill me.
Any way, she tired a lot and success was miles away. Finally a HUGE decision was made: VISIT TO THE DENTIST
The First Day-
The plucking of my tooth had to be done in just a single day, but of course I didn't allow that😎. Me, my mom and dad went together. The dentist was a woman, she told me to open my mouth and in her hands she was holding some instruments. The instruments were (and are) always small, but to me they looked like the largest weapons available. So of course I screamed really bad and cried the whole time and I was so successful at not opening my mouth at all.
The dentist asked my parents to hold my hands and legs, but I didn't allow that (c'mon I am strong and full of WILL). Then she told, "For this kid, I will have to tie her with ropes." And all I did was S.Y.C (scream, yell and cry). I then actually saw her husband walk in with ropes, cloth hanging ropes. But in my mind I saw the ropes as HUGE, THICK jute ropes.
I again S.Y.C. So definitely day one was a SUCCESS for me and a Beautiful failure for the dentist and my parents. Wow! my first victory against 3 adults!!!😉😎
The Second Day-
But, that victory didn't last too long🥴. The second day only me and my mom went (my dad was tired of my drama I guess😉). She made me sit on that chair and again took her crazy weapons (I mean instruments) and came next to my mouth. I obviously sat on the chair like a very good girl and opened my mouth for her -wow! thats a huge lie!!!...- instead I again S.Y.C (screamed, yelled and cried).
My tooth was still hanging there, it was in such a state that even a very light breeze could make it fall. Somehow, I didn't want the tooth to fall neither did the tooth want to get away from me. There were other patients too, so the dentist asked us to wait outside because I was a CHAOS!
Any way, after she finished with the other patients it was my turn. I don't exactly remember what happened next, but somehow the dentist managed to get my tooth plucked out.
After that she told my mom, "This is the most dramatic and chaotic kid I have ever met. And she is the most brilliant child ever!!"
Okay the last sentence is another HUGE lie!!
That dentist, I believe hates me for ruining her beautiful reputation. But c'mon I was a first grader and obviously, I am a डरपोक (fraidy cat). I fear butterflies too🙄.
So thats my first visit to the dentist. I hope I am not the only one having embarrassing times with people!!
Anyway, thanks for reading, have a great day!!
Till I come back with a new 'Evergreen' and 'everliving' experience of mine....GOOD BYE!! TAKE CARE!!✌☮
I never knew the whole story though
