My dearest farewell πŸ‘©πŸ½‍πŸŽ“

Bello folks!!!!

Good to have you back. I must say, you are very fortunate to read my blog (again).

Today I am sharing my first ever farewell experience. I never had one in kindergarten (not that I remember of having one). So it was the end (almost) of grade 10 and there is the customary (ah! fancy word) year end party that we had to attend in saris and suits.

God, are you kidding me, sari, no way. How am I to pee in one❓ (thats not a great excuse, but still). Well the school was kind to give a choice of wearing salwar and I happily took it. The colour for us girls was RED. Beautiful. I bought a plain red kurti.

The day before: I had an appointment at the hair salon to straighten my hair. They washed my hair, oh! glorious massage, not to mention the neck pain I got😣. Then they dried my hair and began the process of straightening it. 45 minutes later.... TADA!!!! I looked so different. woah!

😊

D-DAY: my friend sent a message to come early to click pictures at the park next to school. But, I was not sure I'll go early because... I don't have a good reasonπŸ˜…

I started to get ready. I took a bath (who wants to stink?), I redid my hair again 'cause I woke up with just-woke-up hair πŸ˜’(that took 43 min), then I wore my dress, put on fancy earrings and was ready to go. wait a minute, I also wore HIGH heels. (again)

Anyway, we had to be at school by 4 but I went early (what??!!!). I reached the park close to my school and saw other girls who looked like I don't have no words... verrrryyyy preeettttyyyy😍.

There's one secret I have to tell, I wanted something comfortable to wear so I wore gym pants under my kurti (hey! don't stare..). By the way that's a secret between us. 🀫(shhhh)

At the park we took a couple of pics that turned out really good. The other girls were draped in red sari.. so bootiful.

This is just some of us.

The girls were still clicking pictures so I decided to leave for school with Hari. Aaah! yes I need to introduce you to this minion-- Hari is one of my oldest and dumbest friends. But, the very BEST as well. Knew that dude since first grade (sadly...joking). Anyway, we were walking to school and it was a tough walk with those heels. Needless to say Hari kept mocking me for it.

On reaching the school gate, the guard won't let us in no matter how much we tried to convince we were there for the farewell. Then we had to prove that we were students of the school by showing our ID's. Gawd! the guards don't even know us. I feel sad!

At school, the teachers gave their speeches and the ninth graders performed dance, songs and a musical. Well, not to mention (but I am mentioning), my brother was mentioned twice during the teachers speeches. LOL.

On that day I wore heels in the hope of not being the shortest girl around, but turns out most of the girls wore heels and came themselves πŸ˜’. A couple of boys (including my brother) mocked me for not reaching up to their height with high heels. I mean who cares?? It was about me to feel myself 😊 not reach their height.

We were all given adjectives with the first letter of our names. When it was my turn, I heard 'EJECTABLE EVELIN'..  what the heck???🀨

So, I asked other's what they heard and I was not surprised when they said they didn't hear it either. hopeless. Then I found someone who actually heard the word (oofff). I got to know they said, "Elegant Evelin"

Gawd! Thankyou. Elegant. Mom and Dad, I am Elegant. I am crying with pride. Lol.

We even got gifts. And by that I mean, a transparent pouch with our schools logo.😐

Then the best part, we were given dinner (thank God). Lots of different things. Rice, puri, gobi, gulab jamun, cake, etc. GREAT.

When we were going home, I saw a ringπŸ’fallen on the ground. I obviously picked it up. No one claimed it so I thought I'll keep it. But, I don't fancy rings so I threw it again or wait! I gave it to my teacher (I don't remember).

It was dark and the roads are definitely not the best but I managed to walk with those heels perfectly well. I was surprised I hadn't fallen. I was PROUD. My school won't leave you out untill you find your parents at the front gate. So, to escape go out I just pointed at a random person and said it was my parent. And pretty much it worked. But kids! don't try it. You and me don't wanna get caught.

The funniest part was it was one of the last days and we didn't take a class photo of the farewell. Yaaay! 🫀

I must say, I will miss many teachers (even if they don't remember me later). My biology teacher for being strict with everyone but me😊, english teacher for being a daisy🌼and supporting my blogs, my social science teacher for being a friendπŸ’– (an awesome one!), my 5th grade teacher for remembering me even now and so many more teachers. Thanks to the 2 girls (neenee and sisi) who were with me since grade one and the 2 girls of class 10 C. I will miss all who mocked me for my height, the singers and dancers, and of course my dear gossip girls. Thanks to every hooman that came my way, I hope your lives have been blessed by my presence.πŸ™‡πŸ½‍♀️(my sincere bow)

Well that was my FAREWELL to class 10 C and to my School 😒🀍

But stop! more school blogs will be there.

WILL MISS YOU'LL IF YOU EVER READ THIS. ALSO THIS BLOG WILL ENSURE I REMEMBER THIS DAY.

GOODBYE 10 C TRIBE. Loads of Luv.
